Rheum Undulatum is a perennial plant belongs to the Polygonaceae growing from fleshy roots. It is distributed in Asia, including Korea and China. It has been used as a remedy for constipation, diarrhea, inflammation, fever, swelling, etc.. This non-toxic R. undulatum extract reduces oxidative stress in skin by promoting Nrf2 activity(Nrf2 is a key transcription factor of the antioxidant protein gene) so it helps anti-aging and skin tightening.
